Bio
I have been translating monthly religious messages for the Latter Day Saints from English to Lingala. These include some administrative letters, release from the Church Authorities in Salt Lake City to my local leaders. Local authorities chiefly speak French, the official language here in DR Congo, and may be considered as L2 as it is learnt from our kindergarten. I taught it to 8th and 11th grades before going to university where I graduated in English and Linguistics.

To come back with my profession in the Church, I moved from translating monthly messages to bigger projects in compliance with the Church policies so that Church doctrine and teaching be taught in (a) local language(s) to members of the Church not conversant in French, and Lingala.
Now I am working as language Supervisor and oversee and team up 5 translators.

My achievements in this respect are a 890 pages scriptural book and many booklets as well as articles including speeches, conference talks and sermons. Memos, letters and interpretation [English-French]during general conferences gathering more than 2 thousands persons.

Another part of my translation work is done with International translation agencies worldwide. I have produced many translation works in Lingala, Kongo and French in different subjects including dictionaries and glossaries namely the famous French multilingual dictionary "Tour du Monde en 180 Langues" both in Lingala and Kikongo with the collaboration of Henry Gursau; political analysis on the 2011 elections in DR Congo (16 pages), many legal documents on employment and refugees' conditions and environmental issues in Lingala, Kikongo and French, Gene Theory by Paliwal, countless documents from Lingala/French in a variety of themes, and more than 600 minutes of Voice over and video and film transcription from Lingala/French to English. Please have a look at my CV attached here for further information regarding my experience and qualifications.

I have made some research and as result written many documents regarding Kinshasa and life in this city with description of touristic sites, attractive places for expatriates, how to obtain official documents, what safety precautions to take in terms of security and health care and worked with Emcnetwork.com, an Expatriates Relocation company based in Rome, Italy.

Always punctual, I don't claim perfection, but never have I been requested to re-translate a work for poor quality after ten years of experience.
