What translation project are you working on right now?
I am doing most of the translation for a forthcoming book on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the KÜNKER international coin dealership and auction house of Osnabrück, Germany, recounting the history and development of what is now one of the world's best-known international businesses in the coin trade, and one of the most successful. I have done a good deal of work for the company over the last nine years. I recently translated a great little book by an Austrian psychologist and writer from German to English. Let me know if you're interested in having a look. 1 user I am currently translating a humorous novella by an Austrian writer. 1 user I work regularly with a limited number of companies in Germany and Switzerland including: ABZ Sprachendienst (Osnabrück); ABOR Translation Service (Stuttgart), IBS Translation (Switzerland), and Toptranslation (Hamburg) Following a break from work (because I broke my wrist), I have just translated German court transcripts for a divorce proceeding, and the website for the excellent translation and interpreting company ABZ Sprachendienst of Osnabrück, Germany. 1 user I am very busy with new funding support guidelines from the German Federal Environmental Foundation (Deutsche Bundestiftung Umwelt, DBU) and many other jobs. The European Union has a new DATA PROTECTION LAW and I have been translating lots of Data Protection declarations for many companies who must now conform and publish information about their compliance. Translating the newsletter of the German Federal Environmental Foundation (Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt, DBU) Just finished a big legal argumentation transcript for an appeal before a Regional Court concerning copyright protection for photos of works in museums. (edited) ´Legal contract for company start-up, questions for a press conference on the merger of two German "energy giants" (traditional energy provider swallowing up renewable producer), product information for a line of wall paint Instructions for home training devices, section of a political science book, assembly instructions for a desk for children and adolescents being marketed by a major retailer (edited) Working on a sample translation for an author who will seek an English-language publisher for his book, which has already been published here in Germany. (edited) I just completed the translation of a press release on the hiring of the IT and eHealth Department Head for one of Germany's leading healthcare and medical research groups in Berlin. Now proofreading the new additions to the catalogue information for a well-known manufacturer of exercise machines and fitness training devices Made in Germany. I am translating a product catalogue for a major German manufacturer and exporter of exercise/training machines and equipment. (edited) I am translating new product information for a line of German water treatment products. I'm translating catalogue material for a new product line from a leading German manufacturer of high-end exercise/training machines. I have just completed the English translation of a court order for the taking of evidence in a legal inheritance proceeding, for the District Court of Rheine, Germany. I have just translated the Data Privacy Statement for a large German company's website, with the accompanying Impressum. I am translating a product catalogue for a German manufacturer and exporter of exercise/training machines. I have just proofread and corrected the English translation of a legal complaint letter, originally in Hungarian, based on the guidelines of the European Union legal system, which were allegedly violated by the Hungarian court. Beginning work on the English translation of a German website for a "start-up" company producing party products for Halloween and other holidays/festivities. I am finishing a questionnaire from the City of Osnabrück for immigrants to Germany from other countries, in which they provide information about their backgrounds and their success or problems with integration into German society. I continue to translate criminal court transcripts for the German court system in cooperation with ABZ-Sprachendienst of Osnabrück. I have worked regularly with this company for almost 6 years. Although I am not primarily a technical translator, I have worked repeatedly with texts from Germany's famous MAX PLANCK INSTITUTE, and have translated a number of research papers for the University of Tübingen, one of Europe's oldest. Will soon begin a long court transcript. Recently finished press releases and a speech by the German President for the presentation of the 2017 German Environmental Prize. |
