Mechanism of action

Immune mechanisms conferring protection against Influenza after injection are not fully understood. Nevertheless, the intradermal route of vaccination can be considered to induce robust immune responses probably due to the presence, in high density, of resident and recruited dendritic cells in the skin and **intense lymphatic drainage**.
