Je complète ma réponse. Resident correspond plutôt à interne. Pour le clinicat, registrar est effectivement plutôt utilisé au RU (voir ici: http://careers.bmj.com/careers/advice/view-article.html?id=1... Aux USA on parle semble-t-il de "fellowship" pour le clinicat et de "clinical fellow" pour le chef de clinique(http://www.urofrance.org/fileadmin/xmldatabase/PU/2007/PU-20... Les systèmes sont différents, c'est pourquoi fournir une simple équivalence est difficile.

now "Senior Registrars" no longer exist, and have become "Specialist Registrars". This is my understanding :-)
