Gracias, yo también me había decantado por esta posibilidad, pero no encontraba ninguna referencia en la que se utilizara. |

: "niche" sería un mercado especializado; "oportunidad" se refiere a que la pintan calva

emerging markets
Another option jjavier, and as it's in common usage this is maybe a safer bet for your client.
Neither of the links Alejandro posted worked for me, and the Wal-Mart article refers to 'opportunity market' in a quite specific way. '"We call them opportunity markets because they are markets where we have a 3.9% share as opposed to our average of 8.9%," he explained.'
I've not been able to find much else on this new 'PC' phrase.
Cheers

Note from asker:
Thanks for your translation, Nick. But, in Spanish it is not exactly the same thing "mercados emergentes" (emerging markets" that "mercados de oportunidad". I think that the first ones refer to countries that are emerging, as a whole, as a country, while the second ones refer to markets that, in a particular field, can be mature to grow in a specific field. |

markets with potential
I. e. markets with (good) potential for exploitation.
Not sure if it's wholly synonymous with "emerging" (i. e. new) markets...
