Note C.C s/20

French to English Social Sciences Certificates, Diplomas, Licenses, CVs Senegal College
The "C.C" is the abbreviation which puzzled me. It obviously is a "grade ?? out of 20" but I'd appreciate help with the abbreviation. Merci d'avance.
Proposed translations (English)
3 -1 cumulative grade out of 20

@ Laurel Why not post "continuous assessment(s)"? Someone should. ;-)
Laurel Clausen Mar 20, 2012:
Probably contrôle continu When I taught at a French university, classes were either CM (cours magistral) - with grades based solely on tests (usually a final exam), CC (contrôle continu) - with grades based on tests and homework, or TP (travaux pratiques) - labs, which could be graded either way. So my hunch here is that the "C.C" simply means that the grade was based on continuous assessments. I'm just not sure how to express this on a transcript!

cumulative grade out of 20

Or cumulative GPA on a scale of 20
(I think C.C. stands for "contrôle continu")

I think I'd stick with "cumulative grade"
Peer comment(s):

neutral philgoddard : It may well be contrôle continu, but I wouldn't translate that as "cumulative grade". It means "continuous assessment".

OK, suggest you post it.
neutral Jean-Louis S. : Previous KudoZ debated this and "continuous assessment" seemed to be the consensus.

OK, I guess I missed that entry :o
disagree Sone-Ngole Alvin Ngole : I would also go in for continuous assessment. that's the expression used here in Cameroon by the English speaking. The French speaking here use CC (contrôle continu).

Cameroon rules! But see my response to philgoddard.
