Spanish term
marco falso de inserción
Spanish to English
Tech/Engineering
Construction / Civil Engineering
windows
Hello. This is from some product information on a window system. The parent company is German so it may have been translated from German.
"Ventana oscilobatiente con marco falso de inserción"
I've established from the company's own documentation that 'Ventana oscilobatiente' is 'Turn/tilt window'.
IATE has "bastidor falso" as "sub-frame"
Thanks for your help
Simon

sub-frame (frame)
This (or simply frame ) is the term used in most of the literature regarding the company Velux (leader in the sector) I have used it before. Their own literature is useful, and the web is full of info and tutorials regarding fitting.

my best try, it may be as you suggest, a problem of translation from German.
Busca en google images, aparecen ventanas con arcos o marcos falsos.
Un "bastidor falso" es una estructura metálica que puede ser parte de un chasis de un carro, no creo que sea el término adecuado en este caso.

: Hello! in Routledge it appears as "false frame", though you should know that it is used for air transportation. Hope this helps a little!

Yes. In fact Routledge is on the top of my consult list for technical stuff. I noticed that it's used for air transport, when I searched in google I found images that suggested it might be used in this case. Thanks :)
