not correct here, but here is the dictionary translation:

一脉相承 (also一脉相传) = come down in one continuous line; can be traced to the same origin; in direct line of descent (or succession) eg 汉儒与孔孟一脉相承.The Han Confucianists were direct successors of Confucius and Mencius.

一脉相承 = of the same lineage; in the same strain; in direct continuation of; to be a true disciple of 注:指人
