In the dissertation Authoritarianism and Social Movements --- A Critical Analysis from the Point of View of an Environmental Movement Activist, the author explains further what is meant by 知识道德化 as follows.

知识的道德化，不仅仅是实然面与应然面的混淆或颠倒，也是将“意识型态包装成为知识”后的进一步发展。将意识型态包装成为“知识”，则“威权”的向外投射将可增加一层保护膜，使得反威权的动力被虚拟化（好象反对威权，变成是在反对知识）。再将知识道德化，则是替“威权”的向内深耕建立正当性，从而对外具有摄化的作用。
