Je traduis un texte sur un conférence qui sera donnée sur l'éducation dans lequel je trouve le terme "back-mapping". Il s'agit d'un concept que l'on retrouve pas mal dans les publications américaines et canadiennes mais malheureusement impossible de mettre la main sur un document officiel bilingue canadien mais je doute que ce soit le cas dans cette phrase. Je pense qu'il peut tout simplement s'agir du fait d'établir une relation entre ces normes mais je ne suis pas sure du "back".
Voici la phrase en question pour vous donner un peu plus de contexte :
Participants will identify relevant professional organization standards and use back-mapping of standards for external as well as internal accountability alignment.
(Any help from English speakers who don't know French is most welcome as well. I try to understand "back-mapping" here. Is it a specific concept or just the fact of connecting the standards? But then what's the idea of "back"? Many thanks in advance!)

Une rétroplanification ou une planification inversée, a été conçu en partant de la date de fin du projet puis en remontant dans le temps afin de positionner les jalons.
