Flemish term

gemeten

Flemish to English Other Construction / Civil Engineering safety, road repairs/road safety
This is from a statement regarding road surfaces in connection with a road traffic accident. The person involves explains how repairs to a road are being carried out. "Er zijn herstelwerkzaamheden aan de weg uitgevoerd met gietasfalt. Tijdens deze herstelwerkzaamheden worden er kiezelstenen in de warme gietasfalt gemeten. Hierdoor wordt het gietasfalt stroever en is er minder slipgevaar".
How do I translate "gemeten" in this context? As "gemengd"?

Thanks very much! Do you want to enter that as an entry for points?
Michael Beijer Sep 3, 2019:
~ Yeah, after briefly googling liquid asphalt + grit stone, it does sound like they just mean mixed. Initially I thought maybe it was a typo for 'gesmeten', but that would be weird. In any case, I think mixing, or 'measuring out' ('grit stone is measured into the liquid asphalt'), or 'measured into' would probably work here.
