A family history - a distinguished, but not directly famous 'clan' who have written histories of what their great grandfathers' generation were doing 100 to 150 years ago. Copenhagen was a small world then, but many of the buildings are still there, although the shops have changed owners and gardens have been built on... A fascinating period piece about life in the late 19th century and up to WW1. With some wonderful vocabulary and language to reproduce!
