Spanish term

contrapartida

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) Company obligations

Discussion

Peter Riccomini Aug 25, 2010:
I tend to agree with Natalia ... that the context indicates that here 'contrapartida' does not mean offsetting entry. That would mean an equal and opposite entry, whereas clearly the text refers only to the income or cost generated and not to any offsetting entry.

I'm not sure about 'in contrast', though. Maybe 'on the other hand' would be the translation.

It's not a financial term related to "partida". Cheers!

Gracias, amendozachisum. Cheers!
agree Ignacio González Sánchez : I agree. It is an expression, not a financial term or something related to that. Could be "on the other hand" also, but the best is this option. Thank you.

Spanish term (edited): Y como contrapartida

And as a balancing entry

As in, a balancing entry for tax purposes.
