Spanish term

hospedado

Spanish to English Other International Org/Dev/Coop vacation of facilities
Buenas tardes,

Esta vez solo deseo confirmar un término.

Para ponerlos en contexto, el documento trata sobre la partida de un programa. Este programa estuvo ocupando las instalaciones de otro organismo sin costo alguno con el consentimiento del otro organismo.

Sobre el desalojo de oficinas, los empleados del Programa procederán a retirar sus objetos personales previo a la finalización de su contrato laboral.
Las oficinas serán limpiadas y entregadas a los socios que han **hospedado** al Programa desde el año 2002.
------------
As to the vacation of the Program offices, its employees will withdraw their personal belongings before ending their employment contract.
Offices will be cleaned and handed over to the partners that have **hosted** the program since 2002.

Otra opción que se me ocurre es "lodged"; sin embargo, creo que no se aplicaría a este contexto.

Nuevamente, agradezco todos sus aportes.

Discussion

Manuel Aburto (asker) Apr 17, 2022:
Thank you Joss!
I agree with you and Muriel.
Joss Heywood Apr 13, 2022:
"hosted" is fine in this context, especially as they were not charging for the occupation of the premises.

That was my thought before I read your complete question.

I understand your hesitation -- namely, whether an institution could 'host' a program on their premises, unlike a person hosting an event -- but I think it's OK.

Here are some examples from searching for [premises + "hosted the program"]:

Also, many examples of 'host institution':

It is highly recommended that the host institution choose co-chairs for the conference to direct various conference and team responsibilities.
Note from asker:
Thank you for the confirmation and references as well Muriel.

"(...) that have accommodated / lodged the program (...)"

HOSTED doesn't seem completely wrong either, but for some reason it sounds to me like something more of a specific occasion (host a party, a meeting, etc.). On the other hand, accommodate / lodge (synonyms between themselves) convey the more specific meaning of "providing sb/a group of people with a place to sleep, stay or live (either for free or for pay)".
Example sentence:

The refugees are being lodged at an old army base. (OALD)

Note from asker:
Thank you Gino!

agree philgoddard : "Lodge" is wrong in my opinion - it means to obtain accommodation, not provide it. But accommodate and host are both fine.

agree Samuel Phillips : I think "accomdated" is a good option here if the asker don't want to use "host"
