agree Lara Barnett : This format seems more appropriate for the legal context. This is an official term rather than just a general description.

on a call basis

This is how I would translate into EN-US.

Example Sentences

Manish Computer Sales & Service' can provide you computer and network support any time on a call basis. https://sites.google.com/site/manishcomputersalesservice/ser...

Similarly, it doesn’t matter if the firefighter is full-time, part-time, or if they’re paid on a “call basis” monthly, hourly, etc. https://content.govdelivery.com/accounts/USIRS/bulletins/306...
Peer comment(s):

neutral Lara Barnett : This is a general description, rather than an official term. As this is for a legal contract, I would opt for something more suitable to a legal context.

Thank you!
disagree philgoddard : All you've done is add an incorrect hyphen to Nick's answer.

Due to the legal context as well as the definition on lawinsider being hyphenated, at this point, I still believe using the hyphen as a pre-noun modifier works best for this, but still would consider both valid choices. Thank you for the input.
