legal opinion , is an legal viewpoint or advice if given by an attorney or a legal consultant, however; In law, a legal opinion is usually a written explanation by a judge or group of judges that accompanies an order or ruling in a case, laying out the rationale and legal principles for the ruling.
The same is the legal advice which is interchangeably used along with "legal opinion".
If you come to the interpretation of "Fatwa"*, we would say that it is the "legal opinion" given by an attorney or a legal consultant, supported, sometimes, by previous ruling, and usually by the terms of related laws and regulations.
Considering that a fatwa is a legal opinion, and considering that a legal opinion is interchangeably used along with legal advice, thus, a legal advice, legal opinion, and fatwa are all approximately synonyms with slight differences,
Fatwa*: Fatwa from a sharia'a point of view shall exclusively mean the religious opinion given in connection with a definite case, sentence,
This is my concept regarding the term so far.

: The question is about فتوى شرعية, not استشارة
فتوى for an asker while استشارة for a consulter
This is my point :)
