I worry about these politicans who use Twitter - don't they have better things to do?

No Oct 25, 2009

It's a waste of time from my point of view.
I already have Skype, facebook and other messaging applications should I ever feel the need to tittle tattle.

Nope Oct 25, 2009

First, no time, second, I do not like giving my personal details (when registering) to all of these platforms. Similar to reports that Facebook & co being investigated by the authorities in Germany because their terms of business are only one-sided.

Twitter, twitter, i use your wall! Oct 25, 2009

Hi All

Twitter is a nice application to stay in touch with your loved ones, colleagues or even outsourcers.

The only thing that is needed is 'to write your say in least no. of words conveying everything you want to. In proz.com, we have an application, with which we can give hint to any colleague translator or outsourcer what we think or what we offer.

Take care!

PRAKAASH

No, thank you ... Oct 25, 2009

I simply do not see the point. In my opinion, Twitter is a complete waste of time and I don't have enough time as it is. And I would not trust them with my personal details, either ...

Actually not available in China Oct 25, 2009

I've heard of it before in several forms, such as T.Sina, Shuoshuo, Fanfou (forced to close)、Jiwai(forced to close), Pingzhui and JNtalk, etc. But it seems this kind of communication tool is recommended in Mainland China.

I have a Twitter account which I only use to read various news and information pages. I don't write anything up on it myself as I don't have time for that and don't see the point when I have Facebook and email.

I put "yes," but I rarely post anything on Twitter. I use it to keep up with news and info pages. I prefer Facebook for keeping in touch and sharing interesting ideas, YouTube vids, etc.

Yes, a lot Oct 25, 2009

I hate Facebook, but Twitter suits me brilliantly. I keep up with news, have made some connections in publishing and the video game industry, follow interesting discussions on topics that interest me (e.g. open source applications, publishing, Net neutrality, copyright issues etc), and stay in touch with a few friends.

I found it easy to get the hang of, the interface is simple and I find it less time consuming than reading blogs, writing blogs or check communities like Facebook etc. Some say it's narcissistic, but if it is I don't mind. You just have to realize that people use Twitter for many different things, and stick to following those who match your own purposes the best.

More often on Facebook than Twitter Oct 25, 2009

I have a twitter account, but I haven't used it much yet.

I use Facebook more often, but it's mainly for my personal life - keeping in touch with friends and getting updated on dancing events (my hobby).

Only recently, I linked my 'Advanced Chinese Translations' website there and added myself to some translation-related groups. Let's see if it benefits the business.
