Greetings to all!
In Trados 2009, when I click on the Confirm tool (Alt+Add) to mark my translation as "translated", the following error appears:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
But if I right click on the segment and choose "Translated" from "Change segment status", it will work. I am just wondering why that tool does not work. Does anybody know what the problem could be?
Thank you in advance!

"Control plus Enter", that's the way I do it. Never fails.

You can also find lots of threads on this issue if you google the exact error message.
The reason why changing segment status doesn't produce this error is that it only changes the status. It doesn't add the segment to your TM.
It doesn't matter which shortcut you use to confirm a segment (Alt+Add, Ctrl+Enter depending on your user profile settings). It's the fact that you're saving the segment to the TM that is giving this error message. ▲ Collapse
