I then attended Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, where I earned a Master's degree in Mass Communication with emphasis in Film Theory and Writing for Film. Since 1998, I have worked as a freelance translator and part-time German instructor at the University of Toledo. My special fields of interest are literature, marketing, and advertising. I love to translate texts that deal with people's lives in general and history in particular. One of my recent projects: http://helmbrechtswalk.com - which I translated into German. My life-long dream is to publish my own writings.

In 2003-2009 I did translations for Brusov Science Center (Yerevan State Linguistic University) which is coordinating the work of scientists in Brusov Studies. In 2009 I participated in a prestigious project and translated "History of Armenia" by Ghazar Parpetsi, a 5th to 6th century Armenian chronicler and histоrian. The extracts translated by me were published in "Armenian Historical Prose and Poetry of the 5th–18th Centuries. Anthology According to Valery Brusov’s Project. - Yerevan: "Antares", 2009. 336 pp.".
