Dear colleagues,

I would like to suggest you an interesting and somehow amusing article and video about the Italian gesture, e.g. talking animatedly while gesticulating with enviably elegant coordination...
Italians seem to use around 250 gestures in everyday conversation! They gesticulate above all in the center and south of Italy.

Who knows what's the meaning of:
- the classic fingers pinched against the thumb;
- a hand circled slowly;
- the side of the hand against the belly;
- the index finger twisted into the cheek;
- tapping one’s wrist;
- two open hands;
- hands placed in prayer;
- shrugged shoulders;
- quotation marks.
The answers can be found in the mentioned article:
When Italians Chat, Hands Do the Talking - http://www.nytimes.com/2013/07/01/world/europe/when-italians-chat-hands-and-fingers-do-the-talking.html?_r=0

By the way, do people use to gesticulate in your country?
