Hi,
I've formatted a Word document which contains a number of charts. The problem arises when someone else attempts to open it - after they have received it by e-mail. All the formatting goes to pot and whole thing fails to make sense.
Is there anything I can do to store the formatting so that, when opened by another person, it appears how it should.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Luis

Use Styles

And don´t format the document only by local applying the formats to each text. Set fixed tabstops instead of pressing TAB as often as needed to get text sorted. Use table function instead of aligning text with TAB key or worser with SPACE (some people do so). When defining styles, check the box "Add to style sheet" (or similar, I have German Word here).
Refer to Word help for further informations about using styles to format a document.

But be aware, that if you use different Word versions (eg Word 95 and Word XP) some functions may not be available in the older version and therefore your counterpart gets this bad result.
