G'day everyone I want to add a macro to Excel 2007. I have googled a bit and I enabled the Developer tab in Excel. I've tried macro security completely open and with and without trusted access. But... the "Record macro" and "Macros" options remain greyed out. I tried starting with a fresh new Excel file, but no luck. Does anyone know how to enable macros in Excel 2007? Make sure you change the security settings. Change Macro Settings to “Enable all macros” and Change ActiveX settings to “Enable all controls without restrictions and without prompting” | | | Gerard de Noord France Local time: 20:54 Member (2003) English to Dutch + ... Separate workbook | Jul 6, 2010 |
Hi Samuel, I think Excel wants you to store macros in a seperate workbook, Personal.xlsb, so maybe you should open that workbook with View/Window/Unhide and record your macros there. When you open Excel, if you go on the "view" tab, do you have the "macro" greyed out? If yes, then it seems like you did not activated VBA tools. Try in Windows logo -> Excel Option -> Add-ins Tick the boxes: Internet Assistant VBA and Analysis Tools - VBA. In that window, at the bottom, you should also find the "go" button. Click on it and the "Add-ins" dialog box should appear. There, activate "Internet Assistant VBA " and "Analysis Tools - VBA". ...
