WHen editing an excel workbook, especially one shared with others, how do you add your identity so they know which changes are yours? I want to put my name or intials into the track changes, but I haven't been able to find that out. I don't do that much editing in excel.

Anyone who knows, I'd appreciate the help. In the meantime, I'll keep looking!

Try this Apr 4, 2012

With Excel 2007, click on the Office button, then on Excel options, then select „Popular" on the left pane and change the „User name:”

how to see Apr 5, 2012

Thanks István, but how can we see my name for each change? In word, I can see it if I turn on track change before I change.

Track changes Apr 5, 2012

Phong Le, if I understand your question well, in Excel 2007, you should change the name of the reviewer as above, then go to Review/Changes/Track Changes/Highlight changes and check „Track Changes while Editing” checkbox and fill in the table under it.
