Hi everybody,
I noticed a job proposal at http://www.proz.com/job/42912 in which the price per unit is 1 USD per hour and the total price for 8 working hours is 8 US$.
May I kindly ask somebody of the staff to check if these rates are a typo or some sort of joke?

It is really fantastic. Till the moment of writing this posting, there is zero bidding for this job. It is gratifying to see. Here in India, I charge Rs.700 per hour (14 Euros). One gentleman had the guts to offer me Rs.300 per day! I sent him back promptly. I am better of sitting at home viewing my favorite soap opera. We translators should be more vigilant. How depressing it is to see some biddings for such jobs!

I agree with Tayfun; the entry was obviously in error (or made just to fill the field).

I contacted the outsourcer, suggesting to add a corrective note.
