Absolutely, Jun 30, 2008

As I type I'm drinking Turkish coffee (known in Hebrew as "botz"- mud) and a small piece of toast with avocado. Same every morning.

Drinks only Jun 30, 2008

I always have a glass of water next to me after having read that you have to be well-hydrated for 100% concentration. I very rarely eat at my desk though (keyboards are supposed to have more germs on them than the toilet seat - ugh, puts me right off food )!

Not sure I understand the question Jun 30, 2008

How to understand "at the computer"?

I have one desk, on which my laptop is, and next to it I eat my dinners, or keep a cup of tea, everything far away enough not to spill anything on the keyboard, or anywhere else at the computer. But still on the same desk. Is it "at"?

Whatever I eat/drink, I always make sure a cup/food doesn't go

Whatever I eat/drink, I always make sure a cup/food doesn't go above the computer, to avoid dangerous situations, like crumbs getting on the keyboard.

More germs than the toilet seat...Goodness ! Jun 30, 2008

Well...This is definitely the last yogurth (it's still there...) you'll find next to my infernal (it's so hot at the moment here, that the keyboard is sometimes boiling hot ! I guess it would be a good idea to save all my files soon...).

But, yes, more seriously... I do, although it would probably be better not to ! (balanced meals, clean keyboards, social life...)

Coffee Jun 30, 2008

One or two cups (actually more than cups) of coffee imported from Vienna. I just can't do without it.

Just tea or coffee.. Jun 30, 2008

No more food since I had an "accident" involving my keyboard and a slice of pizza a few years ago!!
I had to run out immediately to buy a new keyboard to be able to meet a deadline

All of the above Jun 30, 2008

I drink, eat and smoke at my lap top...Work usually comes at once so I would starve and dehydrate if I wouldn't)) It starts with breakfast and the first morning coffee while turning on the lap top.

Everything except coke and coffee Jun 30, 2008

I'm eating right now, well, between typing, and I always do.
But following a painful incident last year involving a glass of coke and a laptop keyboard, I've learned that coke and coffee are a keyboard's worst enemy and can render it completely useless. So I now take extra care to stay at least a metre away from the keyboard when I'm drinking any of them.

Only breaks I get Jun 30, 2008

Only breaks I get and I'm gonna take them at the PC? Not in my lifetime. I drink (coffee, water, cranberry juice) and eat (meals, snacks & chocs) in front of the TV, like any normal person LOL

Here, here Jun 30, 2008

I'm with Richard. I take my breaks in front of the TV or on the patio. But I do usually have a bottle of water somewhere in the vicinity.

Both Jun 30, 2008

Sometimes I even have breakfast while typing or checking e-mail because of the time difference with a couple of clients in Europe, or when other clients ask for their projects to be sent back 'first thing in the morning'.
