I have to confess I don't really 'get' the virtual conference. For me, a conference is about getting out and about, meeting people, experiencing something different. Not sitting in front of my computer for another day.

But all the best with it and I hope it all goes swimmingly.

Yes, ... Sep 29, 2009

I have signed up but I doubt I will have much time for it, since I am swamped with work at the moment.
I am also going to move house shortly so I have to find time to pack our boxes.
But I will still do my best to at least have a look around. Since I have never attended any conferences so far and cannot image what a virtual one is going to be like, I am curious!

I am looking forward to joining the conference! Sep 29, 2009

The problem is that it starts at 9pm, and I can't stay up till the moment when some interesting materials are presented:(

The presentations will be available for a year after the event takes place. Sep 29, 2009

Hi Takako,

I hope you can attend the ProZ.com first virtual conference in real time as experiencing the event live will present the opportunity of networking, visiting booths to chat with site staff or other representatives and more. However, all the presentations will be available for a year after the event takes place.

Thanks
Romina

I hadn't... Sep 29, 2009

...but I have now.

I hadn't signed up as I didn't think I would have time. As it turns out, I should have some time tomorrow. Having read other people's posts I realized that I might as well sign up, even if I can't devote the whole day to it. I'm curious to see what a virtual conference looks like...

Yes, and looking forward to it Sep 30, 2009

I'm looking forward to it though like most, I'm super busy today and reckon that I'll be in and out of it. At least I should get the presentations even if I don't get to do much networking due to lack of time.

I think that it is a great idea!
