I think one limitation should be that only highly rated outsourcers be able to use this feature if it becomes available (not slow payers or agencies with poor records or no records at all...)

HI ! and also that I have a feeling that this option will lead to unnecessary fight and headache between the Outsourcers and freelancers, may also lead to Outsourcer and freelancer unionism. Best regards, Brandis

I really think that it would be best that the "Blue Board" system stay as it is: i.e., with freelancers able to rate and comment on outsourcers and the latter being able to respond to comments. To allow outsourcers to rate freelancers would be to turn the Blue Board into a battleground where two warring parties fire salvos at one another and no one can possibly determine who is in the right. To allow outsourcers to rate freelancers would be to turn the Blue Board into a battleground where two warring parties fire salvos at one another and no one can possibly determine who is in the right. Anyway, the main purpose of the blue board, as I understand it, is to rate agencies as to whether or not they pay on time, an especially important service for translators who are considering working for an agency for the first time, and with no other data to go on. The agencies themselves can determine, on the basis of the quality of the work done by the freelancer, whether or not they want to contract him again in the future.Collapse
