I tried a free one once but the trainer spent more time promoting her paid sessions than doing any actual training so I didn't bother to listen to the end.

Not that I want to come across as someone who believes in conspiracies but I do my own research when I need to learn about something.

The range of webinars on ProZ haven't inspired me yet…

I was a trainer in many webinars and got good feedback, but of course they were in Italian, for translators into ITA (not experienced like you) so obviously you did not see them

I find David Icke a useful source when doing my own research.

Yes Jan 25

Out of 17 paid webinars attended since 2010, most of them were OK, though not all that many of them were excellent, and one or two of them were even below par.

Particularly memorable was the webinar by Attila Piróth, "MS Word for translators: Find and replace features and other tips and tricks". This one was excellent.

AFAIK there are no webinars in Portuguese and all the videos (but one) are in Brazilian Portuguese. Besides that, most of the courses are focused either on beginner translators or on CAT tools and AI. I could be interested in some advanced courses on the Portuguese terminology of law, medicine and international development, but so far I haven’t found one on Proz, so I’ll keep making my researches whenever needed…

Not yet Jan 25

Not yet, and I do not plan to do it in the near future.

There is a lot of free information out there, and as a beginner, I focus on that.

If I had to pay for something, it would be a live conference of some sort. Meeting translators face-to-face would be quite valuable at this point (at any point probably).
