Can someone explain whether the section listing the areas in which a person does translation should be entitled “Subject Areas” or “Fields” in the resume?
And should the section dealing with experience be entitled “Translation Experience” or “Translation Record”?
I have read the resumes of many people and have seen that various titles are used.

Both are fine.

I would not use "Translation Record".

Resumes hardly matter anymore. No one even looks.

A COVER LETTER adapted to your current recipient makes all the difference.

Information Shared With Agencies Oct 5, 2021

Thank you for the good advice. I can see the need to be specific in one’s cover letter. When contacting agencies and offering one’s services, is it a good idea to attach samples of previously completed test translations?
(In this way, there may be no need to do test translations repeatedly when contacting new agencies.)
