No, it doesn't. One of those weird omissions. They're working on bridging the gap (to a degree) between the desktop app and the web version, but there's still a long way ahead.

Isn't it possible to log in with memoQ Desktop on a memoQWebTrans project?

Sure it is. They are special at Kilgray, but luckily not that 'special':

So, Liesbeth, as a workaround you could probably use the demo version of that great tool memoQ to log in on the memoQWebTrans project and export as an XLIFF project that you can translate with a more suitable CAT tool.
